Bradenton Marauders

Bradenton and beautiful McKechnie Field are home to the Pittsburgh Pirates' Class A Advanced affiliate, Bradenton Marauders. The Marauders compete in the Florida State League which includes teams from nearby Clearwater, Dunedin, Tampa, Port Charlotte and Lakeland. The Marauders All-Time Roster includes current Pittsburgh Pirate players Gerrit Cole, Starling Marte and Gregory Polanco.

Bradenton has been the spring training host of the Pittsburgh Pirates since 1969. The Pirates' training facility, Pirate City, is conveneiently located on Bradenton's near east side.
